Reclaimed Oak & Beech Railway Sleepers – Heavy‑Duty Industrial Sleepers (Creosote Treated)

$ 95.25

DescriptionReclaimed Oak & Beech Railway Sleepers Our reclaimed oak and beech railway sleepers are heavy, solid timbers with years of working life already behind them, ready for a second one in landscaping and ground works taken from German railway lines. Reclaimed from genuine railway use and creosote-treated, they are built to sit outdoors in Irish weather and take a load, which makes them a favourite for retaining walls, steps, raised edging and structural landscaping. Each sleeper carries the marks and character of its history, so no two are identical. Because they are an industrial, creosote- treated product, they are for outdoor structural use only, not for vegetable beds, seating or anywhere with food or regular skin contact. If you tell us what you are building and the run you need to cover, we will help you work out how many sleepers and what fixings to order, and get them delivered nationwide. Important: creosote‑treated timber – EU legislation These sleepers contain creosote and must only be used in accordance with current EU legislation on creosote‑treated wood. They are not suitable for gardens or any domestic use where people may have regular contact with the timber. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of these sleepers complies with all relevant EU and national regulations. Where these sleepers may be used (examples) – Agricultural or industrial retaining structures with no regular public contact – Farm or yard edging and tracks in non‑public areas – Heavy‑duty barriers, bollards or similar structures on farms or industrial sites – Landscaping in restricted‑access commercial or industrial locations These examples are indicative only.
