Description 1-piece rear main seal, Viton material This seal is designed to have the exact size of the 2-piece seal, but in a 1-piece design. This will allow the customer to slide the seal over the crankshaft flange end and then lower the crankshaft into the block. No machining is required. Our goal is to have this seal designed so that in the case of a rear main oil leak, the seal can be cut, and removed. A new seal could also be cut and then installed the same way. Or an OE 2-piece seal could be used. Cutting the seal is NOT required; only an option.
