When you add larger tires to your 1995 to 2004 Tacoma you increase the risk of twisting or breaking a rear axle shaft, that’s why Trail-Gear has made a forged 4340 chromoly rear axle shaft that allows up to 120.0 degrees of twist. When replacing the rear axle shafts, we recommend also installing our Rear Axle Service Kit. These shafts are for non-ABS axle housings only.
